Ages of Cataria is a story generator game where your choices affect the villagers' lives forever. The story that is generated takes place over generations of villagers.
As they age, townsfolk form relationships, have kids, and eventually pass away. Every choice will tell a tale and add to the legend of your town.





Event Based Choices
Over 20 in-game text events were created, each with unique choices for players to affect their villagers' lives.
These choices needed to be unique enough that players can get the same event again and experience a much different outcome. What choice would you make?
Unreal Engine
Alex demonstrates a basic understanding of Unreal Engine by adding multiple events to the game through data tables.
While Alex didn't design the back end of the process, Alex understood how to add multiple quests and keep track of their branching paths.
Rules and Design
Alex created the rules and design for the game. These rules were play-tested and crafted based on player feedback.
The game has multiple features from town sim, building/resource management, wellness, quest/events, and schedule tracking.
